High IQ Meets a Restless Mind

How One Child Found Her Calm Through Art

Yesterday, I had the joy of welcoming a very special 7-year-old girl to our studio. She’s a bright spark—her IQ is above 130, and her mind races with brilliant ideas. But alongside her intelligence comes a deep hunger for stimulation… and the restlessness that often tags along with ADHD.

Her mum shared how she’s been doing everything she can to meet her daughter's needs—navigating her fast-moving thoughts, endless curiosity, and strong desire to do things just right. School has been tough. Sitting still is hard. Fitting in even harder.

But one thing this little girl had been asking for? An art class.

So, her mum brought her to us, hoping that our little space could be a sanctuary. A place where her daughter could channel her energy, express her creativity, and just be herself.

And we saw her bloom.

With just a bit of guidance and gentle structure, she immersed herself in painting. Focused. Engaged. Joyful. She painted a beautiful flower, and when she was done, she looked up, beaming:
“I want to come back,” she said.

That’s when we knew—we had become that space for her.

✨ A space where giftedness is nurtured.
✨ Where energy is not punished, but guided.
✨ Where children with big thoughts and big feelings can feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

If you have a child who thinks fast, feels deeply, and struggles to sit still, you are not alone. Sometimes, all they need is the right space—and someone who truly sees them.
