Will You Let Me In?
A Silent Plea For Acceptance
Hi Parents,
I hope this email finds you well and brings a moment of peace in your undoubtedly busy day.
At stART Studio, we witness countless stories of growth, resilience, and creativity.
Yet, every so often, a story touches our hearts in a way that reaffirms our mission and passion for what we do.
“Will you let me in?” The question that changed how we see ADHD.
Today, I want to share with you the story of Lucas, a remarkable young child whose journey epitomizes the transformative power of Growth Art.
Lucas’ journey from isolation to expression through painting.
Like many parents, you might resonate with the highs and lows of nurturing a child who experiences the world differently.
The struggle was real. Each day brought its own set of trials—for Lucas, the classroom was a battleground where his spirit often felt caged, and misunderstood.
His parents felt every ounce of his frustration, their hearts aching with every hurdle he faced.
The longing for a place where Lucas could thrive without constraints seemed like a distant dream.
Then came a turning point—Lucas' first day at stART Studio.
With a mix of apprehension and hope, he stepped into our world, a place where differences are celebrated, and creativity knows no bounds.
As Lucas painted, he asked, laden with vulnerability, echoed the fears of every child longing to belong: "Can I come again? Will you let me in? Will you remember me?"
It was a poignant reminder of the journey Lucas and many children like him undergo, seeking acceptance and a space to shine.
He chose to paint a dove, reminiscent of peace and purity, which became a symbol of Lucas's inner journey, as he said: "This reminds me of Jesus."
This piece was not just art; it was Lucas' heart laid bare, a testament to his growth and newfound self-expression.
This is the essence of what we strive to achieve at stART Studio.
Lucas's journey is a beacon of hope, showing that with the right support and a nurturing environment, children can overcome barriers, find their voice, and embrace their true selves.
It is a reminder to all of us, we can unlock the doors to a world of possibilities.
A canvas, a dove, and a boy’s hope to be seen.
